We do not currently offer dermal filler treatments. While we are trained in Dermal Filler injections, we have questioned how ethical these treatments are in the long term. Increasing examples of filler migration and the recent tragic death of Alice Webb following a Brazilian Bum Lift . We are also invested in finding more natural and regenerative solutions such as polynucleotide injections and lip flips that avoid distorting natural facial proportions. Due to ongoing requests we are looking into offering a selective number of filler treatments in the future, but want to make sure this is done as ethically as possible, with minimal complications. We will update if and when this becomes available.

PROFHILO® BODY has been designed for TISSUE REMODELLING and IMPROVEMENT IN SKIN LAXITY of the inner arm and the abdomen. Only 10 points of injection for each area are needed; It is a non-invasive treatment, so it reduces the possibility of bruises and swelling while maximising the diffusion of the product in the tissues. Facial ageing results from changes in the bones, ligaments, muscles, fat, and skin. Botox and dermal fillers are not the same. Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes muscles to reduce wrinkles, while dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid based substances injected beneath the skin to add volume and fill in wrinkles or folds. The effectiveness of Botulinum Toxin brands can vary based on individual preferences and practitioner expertise. The term Botox actually comes from the original Brand called 'Botox' but can be used for other common common Botulinum Toxin brands like Dysport and Xeomin. At Holme Valley Skin Clinic we use the actual Botox brand, which is highly regarded in the industry and is supported by the most research.

The results of line reducing treatments, such as Botox, usually last around 3-4 months. Individual outcomes may vary, and regular treatments might be necessary to maintain the desired results.

Common side effects of Botox treatments may include temporary bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site. Some individuals may experience mild headaches or flu-like symptoms, which usually subside within a few days. It's essential to follow post-treatment care instructions provided by our registered nurses.

In the UK, Botox injections have to be prescribed by qualified healthcare professionals, such as doctors, dentists, or independent nurse practitioners but can be administered by registered nurses. As we offer both standard and advanced Botox treatments at Holme Valley Skin Clinic, all our Botox treatment are prescribed and administered by Julie, our independent nurse prescriber.
